They currently had a floor standing boiler in the kitchen that was around 30 years old, and over the years had spent hundreds of pounds repairing it.
On the survey we discussed the different options available, they wanted to have Underfloor Heating throughout the downstairs area and radiators upstairs with towel rails in the bathroom and downstairs cloakroom.
Mr and Mrs M decided on a Worcester Greenstar 34 CDI Classic combination boiler with a Greenstar system filter and a wireless programable room thermostat.
The downstairs area required 70 m2 of underfloor heating, for this we provided an overlay system for the existing floors, and a screed system for the extension. This was all controlled by wireless thermostats in each room that work independently from each other and the radiators.
The old boiler and hot water cylinder were taken out. New pipework was put in around the house for the radiators, hot and cold supplies, bathroom and the Underfloor heating. The new boiler was fitted in the loft space
All the pipe work was extended up to the loft space for connection onto the new boiler, A new gas supply was also put in.
The system was powerflushed and an inhibitor was put into the system to condition and protect the water.
We also fitted the new bathroom, with an Aqualisa Quartz digital shower, the cloakroom, utility room and kitchen.
Mr and Mrs M were finally able to move back in, after living in another property for almost a year of building works.
